Stepping Up the Intensity
Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’re ready to add variety and increase the pace.
Here are descriptions of the levels and classes we offer:
• Level 2 – Essential Repertoire
• Level 3 – Essential & Intermediate Repertoire
• Level 4 – Intermediate Repertoire
• Level 5 – Intermediate & Advanced Repertoire

Matwork Classes (available in levels 2, 3, 4, 5)
Duration: 55 minutes
Class Capacity: 8 participants

Matwork classes are taught at all levels and may include small props to make the workouts more fun and dynamic. In Matwork, you'll be taken through a challenging, full-body workout designed to strengthen core stability, lengthen muscles, increase flexibility and flatten the abdominals. In some cases you may see “Mat+” on our schedule. This class is an ALL-Levels class where the individual participant is challenged by the addition of small resistance equipment. Drop-in participants are always welcome, but we recommend calling in advance to ensure there is space available.

Reformer Classes (available in levels 2, 3, 4, 5)
Duration: 55 minutes
Class Capacity: 6 participants

Reformer classes are performed on the most popular piece of pilates equipment - The Reformer. The pace varies from moderate to intense depending on your level. You’ll really enjoy the toning capabilities of this type of workout. Long, lean, flexible arms and legs, smooth, muscular backs and beautifully toned shoulder are the hallmark of this machine. Reformer class capacity is 6 participants. You’ll get lots of direct attention from the trainers. There can sometimes be a wait list so it’s best to call in advance to reserve your place.

Interval Training
Duration: 55 minutes
Class Capacity: 3 - 5 participants

Interval training is a moderate to fast-paced workout combining exercises in all planes of movement, while in standing, seated and reclined positions. The intensity varies throughout the workout with a goal of getting your heart-rate up and pushing you to your maximum!

Circuit Training

Circuit Training incorporates several large pieces of pilates equipment into a 55-minute, non-stop workout. In this class you'll alternate between exercises on the mat, Reformer, Stability Chair, Barrels, BOSU, Foam Roller and other smaller props. Participants must have undertaken a minimum of 10 private or semi-private sessions with a trainer and/or have permission from your trainer to participate in this workout. Class capacity is 3 participants.

Mat with BOSU and Stability Ball

This class challenges the hard-to-tone areas like triceps, abs, butts and hamstrings. It’s a fun, crazy, power packed 55 minutes. A good understanding of the basic principles will allow you to get the most out of this workout. We recommend reserving you place in advance. Class capacity is 5 participants.

Reformer Jumpboard

Another Interval training favorite, the jumpboard, is an attachment to the Reformer machine which allows participants to perform plyometric exercises while in a reclined position, thereby controlling or eliminating the impact of gravity on your joints. You control the amount of resistance in your jumping by adjusting the springs under the carriage. Clients tell us they feel like they’re flying when they use the jumpboard. Class capacity is 3 participants.

Athletic Conditioning is a "functional fitness" group class designed for the active adult
currently pursuing, or interested in pursuing, physical activities and sports common to our
region such as golf, tennis, skiing and hiking/running on a variety of terrains. In these classes, we'll use the same stabilization and movement principles found throughout pilates exercise, but with added emphasis on lateral work, rotation work, joint stabilization and balance.
Class capacity for all Athletic Conditioning classes is 6 participants.

Gentle Pilates is group class open to anyone seeking a softer, gentler pace to their pilates
workout. Exercises performed in these classes will be at the Essential level with simple choreography that emphasizes proper execution of the principles of movement. But don't be fooled, participants will still be getting the All Gain No Pain benefits for which pilates is famous.

Cardio Fix is a dynamic, 45-minute power workout that combines the strengthening and sculpting capabilities of pilates with an energy boosting, stress relieving cardio component that gets your heart racing and your blood pumping. Think: Jumpboard, mini-tramp, BOSU. Think: Flat abs, sculpted waist, toned legs and perfect shoulders.

Pilates Focus is a group class that focuses on the problem areas of the upper and lower body.

In Pilates Focus - Upper Body we'll:

• Tone the arms, especially triceps
• Strengthen the abs and shape the waistline.
• Correct postural issues and mal-alignment resulting from repetitive activities like
  computer work.
• Strengthen the muscles of the back for relief of aches and pains.

In Pilates Focus - Lower Body we'll:

• Tone legs (especially inner thighs)
• Tone glutes and hamstrings
• Stretch and improve flexibility in the legs
• Stabilize knees and ankles for injury prevention and relief of aches and pains.
And... we'll work the abs and waistline too, just for good luck.
