Certification Policies
Enrolment
• A deposit must accompany the application. The deposit reserves one position in the course or workshop.
• All deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• If the applicant is applying to more than one course, a separate deposit is due for each course.
• Deposit for all courses except Advanced Mat is $300
• Deposit for Advanced Mat is $100
• Tuition fees do not include sales tax, required course materials, examination fees or any private instruction.
• We notify applicants of their admission to the program within 5 business days of receipt of application.
• If an applicant does not have a strong background in anatomy, admission to the program may be conditional upon the applicant enrolling in the Studio Praxis Functional Anatomy Course.
• Applicants are expected to attend every hour of the course in which they are enrolled. Any class time missed must be made up through private instruction at a ratio of 1 hour for every 2 hours missed.
Studio Access
• Students receive 20 free group classes to use from their enrolment date until the end date of the course. Some restrictions apply. Please see coordinator for details.
• After the end date of the course, students will receive a 50% discount on all group class packages for six months.
• Students will have free access to the studio for practice and observation for a period of six months from the start date of the course.
• Students may bring non-students to the studio for practice teaching purposes. Non-students will be asked to pay a $10 studio usage fee. Some restrictions apply. Please see coordinator for details.
Course Cancellation
If a course is cancelled, the student will be given the option of transferring all paid fees to another course or service; or to receive a full refund.
Withdrawal
• Request to withdraw from the program must be submitted in writing to the director.
• Students withdrawing from the program prior to start date of course will receive a full refund of course fees less the deposit. Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Students withdrawing from the program after the first class will receive a full refund of course fees less $300 deposit.
• No refunds will be made after the second class unless a written note by a medical doctor is presented with a letter to the director. Students who withdraw after the second class for medical reasons may transfer their tuition, less $300 deposit, to the next available course; or receive a refund less the $300 deposit.
Language & Translation
• All STOTT PILATES Certification courses at Studio Praxis are taught in English unless otherwise stated.
• Students have the option of receiving required course manuals and materials in French where available. Please specify at enrolment whether you prefer English or French Materials.
• Students may opt to take their certification exams in any of the following languages: English, French, Japanese, Mandarin, German, Danish, Spanish, Portuguese
• For students examining in languages other than English or French, additional fees may apply.
• A French language translator is available to translate all STOTT PILATES certification courses at Studio Praxis. The fee for translation service is $28 per hour. Translation fees can be shared among students using the service. Please specify at the time of enrolment if you are interested in having a French Translator present.
